Sunrise Century Cycling Tour
Each spring, the Lodi Sunrise Rotary Club presents the "Sunrise Century" cycling event featuring a
50k, 100k and 100 mile touring course through the Mokelumne River Recreation Area and throughout the
wine country surrounding Lodi. This is the club's major fundraiser, which generates revenue used to fund our local and international project work.
Lodi Grape Festival Beer Booth
Each year, Lodi Sunrise Rotary mans a booth at the Lodi Grape Festival. In
1999, the club operated a micro-brewery booth located in the Karaoke / live music beer garden.

Drinking Water Well Program in Uganda
The objective of this project was to help provide a borehole (well), storage tank and pipes for an orphanage managed by
the Aids Orphans Education Trust in Njeru near Jinja, Uganda so that the children would have clean, fresh water to drink.
USS Abraham Lincoln Care Packages For Sailors
October, 2002 - Lodi Sunrise Rotary Club adopts sailors of VAQ-139 Electronic Warfare Squadron
which was (at the time) stationed onboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. Thanksgiving Care Packages, and
Christmas Stockings are sent to the crew members.
Annual Essay and Bicycle Giveaway
March 29th, 2000 - Lodi Sunrise Rotary Club announced the creation of "Bikes For Kids" as a
project aimed at bicycles for distribution at the local Boys & Girls Club of
Lodi as part of their annual Lodi Sunrise Century bicycle ride. If you would like to donate a new
bike, or make a contribution to our bike fund, please contact us!
School Literacy Project
Lodi Sunrise Rotary Club purchases and donates books for Houston School, their local "adopted" Elementary
School.
